The United States deals with a rowing
population of over 180,000 spread across a
land mass twice the size of the European Union
and including 50 states. This alone is a huge
challenge when trying to pick the best athletes.

the selection process of bigger boats begins in
Depending on the year, in relation to the Olympic

the USRowing Training Centres. Of those rowers
about 80 per cent are full-time athletes. >
