Slovenia’s Luka Spik (b)

Nestled in Central Europe, Slovenia is a small nation with a population of just over two million
inhabitants. In the North-West it touches the Julian Alps and in the South the Adriatic Sea.
After hosting the World Rowing Championships in 1966,
1979, and 1989, Slovenia’s Lake Bled once again staged
world class racing in 2010 when it welcomed the first leg
of the World Rowing Cup series. The regatta served as
a test event for the 2011 World Rowing Championships.
